TRIPLE FINALIST, 2009 INDIE BOOK AWARDS!
CATEGORIES: ROMANCE, RELIGIOUS FICTION, SOCIAL CHANGE

Dear Friends,
If you're looking for fearless Christian fiction that doesn't shrink from real issues yet is faithful to the teachings of Christ, you've come to the right place. Please be assured, I don't mean fearless in the sense of lacking awe and respect for our Triune God, but rather fearless in the sense that "perfect love casts out fear."
I've been given many opportunities to witness to God's preferential love for the poor and to assist in their daily struggle to remain fed, clothed, housed, loved and dignified. I know, without a doubt, that God loves all of his children unconditionally and that "because [Jesus] himself was tested through what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested." (Heb 2:18)
I honor these truths by writing Christian fiction that doesn't trivialize, mask, or sanitize the fullness of the human experience or condition. By default, I'm writing outside of the editorial restrictions that define "acceptable" Christian fiction, but I do so freely, joyfully, and fearlessly, knowing that there are readers and seekers everywhere who long for stories that reflect or otherwise resonate with their own quest for authentic Christian living in our modern world.
Yes, the characters in my novels may occasionally (but never gratuitously) swear, drink, smoke, struggle with fidelity or substance abuse, or make other sinful choices, not because they are "unchristian" but because they are human. Frail. Broken. Tested. And ultimately, saved by Grace. I write them as I see them, I write them as I am. If I err, I trust in your forgiveness as well as in the tender mercies and love of God to redeem me. And so, as with Saints in the City, it has been my choice to proclaim—and to write—the Good News from the trenches instead of the mountaintops.
It's my prayerful expectation that you'll be inspired, challenged, entertained, and abundantly blessed by the experience. You can read reviews of Saints in the City  or download and read Chapter 1 here.
Yours in Christ's Love ~ Andie
